Muhammara Dip

This vegan Syrian red pepper dip is a delicious holiday treat! It can be enjoyed as a sandwich spread or as a dip for pita and your favorite vegetables! secret ingredient alert!

I use an air fryer and Cuisinart for this recipe!

Ingredients:

πŸ™ 3 Red Bell Peppers

πŸ™ Β½ cup of walnuts

πŸ™ Β½ cup of breadcrumbs

πŸ™ 1 garlic clove

πŸ™ 2 Tbsp of EVOO

πŸ™1 Tsp of fresh lemon juice

πŸ™1/2 Tsp of cumin

πŸ™ Fresh ground pepper

πŸ™*1 Β½ Tbsp of pomegranate molasses or you can substitute with maple syrup*

πŸ™*1 Tsp of Aleppo pepper or Β½ tsp of red pepper flakes*

Instructions:

  1. Place the whole red bell peppers in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or you can also roast them over the fire of your gas/charcoal cooking appliance.

  2. Once, skin is brown and blistered, place peppers sealed in an airtight container for about 15-20 minutes.

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients to your Cuisinart

  4. Remove the stems and seeds and skins from the peppers and add to the Cuisinart

  5. Pulse until smooth

  6. Garnish with chopped walnuts and a mint sprig

  7. Serve with pita chips and your favorite veggies!
